Extended Chose RedStone Live As The Data Layer Behind Their Real-World Markets

Table of Contents

Building the deepest liquidity venue for onchain RWA trading and listing hundreds of markets demands a different class of infrastructure.

The markets are hard enough to get right in traditional finance, where the pipes have been refined over decades. Bring Gold, indices, and Crude Oil onchain and the data layer becomes the product. Every funding rate, every liquidation, every price a trader sees traces back to a single question: how good is the oracle?

Extended, the perpetual DEX built by the team behind Revolut’s crypto products, now has a clear answer to that question. RedStone Live is the new data layer infrastructure behind Extended’s indices, commodities markets, and foreign markets. The data layer behind Extended’s real-world markets has a new home, and the roadmap is now open.

The Roadmap Starts Here

Extended’s indices, commodities, and foreign markets will run on RedStone Live, a real-time data layer built for assets that do not share a single venue, a single clock, or a single source of truth.

Indices:
S&P 500 (SPX), Nasdaq 100 (NDX)

Foreign Exchange:
Euro (EUR), Japanese Yen (JPY)

Commodities:
Gold (XAU), Silver (XAG), Platinum (XPT), Crude Oil (WTI),  Natural Gas (NATGAS), Copper (XCU)

Each feed is constructed from institutional-grade primary sources, weighted by how each asset actually trades, signed cryptographically, and delivered continuously.

Across all mission-critical integrations to date, RedStone has recorded 0 mispricing events and 0 downtime.

The Point Where Oracle Quality Stops Being Abstract

Most traders do not think about oracles until they are forced to. That moment usually arrives as a liquidation that should not have happened.

That is, unfortunately, how the lesson usually lands.

A perpetual DEX lives and dies by the quality of its price data. Funding rates are calculated from it. Liquidations are triggered by it. If the oracle is slow, the funding rate drifts from reality, and someone pays for it. If the methodology is weak, relying on a single exchange, a thin market, or a feed that goes dark when TradFi closes, the mispricing doesn’t stay theoretical for long. It becomes a position.

This is a structural problem that worsens as the asset class becomes less liquid. Crypto assets are already hard enough. Commodities and indices carry their own complexity: fragmented data sources, market hours that end while onchain trading doesn’t, and price discovery that continues through futures and perpetuals long after the underlying exchange has closed for the day.

The legacy oracle infrastructure was not designed for this. It was built for a narrower world, where the interesting financial activity happened on a handful of major exchanges, and everything else was a rounding error.

RedStone Live starts from the opposite assumption.

The result is data that behaves like the asset it represents.

Trade The World. Priced By RedStone.

Hundreds of TradFi derivatives markets, all onchain, with the deepest liquidity. That’s what Extended is building toward. What determines whether this holds is the quality of the infrastructure underneath it.

The initial ten markets are a starting point, not a ceiling.

RedStone Live’s architecture is configurable by design; adding a new asset is a configuration change, not a governance campaign or a multi-month negotiation.

As Extended’s market list grows, so does the data layer. The relationship is structured around shared growth rather than a fixed scope.

There’s more coming. And we mean that literally.

Watch for what’s next under the same name.

Expecting more.
